Hello … my name is Jacqueline, and I am a very proud Grandma. I love writing stories for my grandchildren, and also enjoy being able to share them with you too.

A few years ago while FaceTiming with my youngest Granddaughter, Kelci, she asked me to tell her a story as she was getting ready to go to sleep. I said I would write a story while she slept and video myself reading it, so she could listen whenever she wanted too.

I pondered about what to write and decided to join my two granddaughters names together - Tia and Kelci - and created Kelti. My granddaughters have a tiny dog called Dougie …. so the characters were set. I wrote the story as promised, and videoed myself reading it. But how could I send it to her? Most children love YouTube, and my granddaughters are no exception, so I decided to create a YouTube channel and upload the video there.

My story was a great success and my granddaughters asked me to write another story. It’s hard for Grandmas to say no … so I done as they requested.

Eventually I had written another seven stories, all about Kelti and Dougie. Then I had an idea of putting them into a book for a surprise Christmas present for them. But little did I know, many adults had been watching my YouTube videos and also loved my stories. When people found out about my book they asked to buy copies …. and that’s how I became a children’s author.
